ITINERARY
DAY 1
Arrival in Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and be warmly welcomed by your Cotis Safaris representative. After visa assistance and luggage collection, transfer to your selected hotel. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 2
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic 7-hour drive through Uganda’s rolling hills and tea plantations to Kibale Forest. Arrive at your selected lodge, surrounded by tropical forest alive with monkey calls and birdsong. Relax at leisure or enjoy optional lodge-based activities before dinner.
DAY 3
Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Community Walk
Report to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing before setting out on your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Spend an hour observing these intelligent primates in their natural forest home. Return for lunch, followed by a guided cultural and nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
DAY 4
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & Batwa Cultural Visit
Journey through Uganda’s scenic countryside with views of misty hills and lush greenery. Arrive at Bwindi and check into your selected lodge before enjoying a Batwa cultural experience. Learn traditional forest survival skills, listen to songs, and witness unique dances and storytelling.
DAY 5
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, join a ranger-led briefing before heading into Bwindi’s dense rainforest. Trek until you find a gorilla family and spend one magical hour observing their behaviors and interactions. Return to your lodge for relaxation and dinner after this once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
DAY 6
Return to Entebbe & Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Entebbe with a stop at the Equator for photos and lunch. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for departure. Optional domestic flight from Kisoro to Entebbe is available.
